Meet Suki!

I finally got me my dog!! Her name is Suki and she is a rescue dog that was pretty beat up. She is really sweet and provides Amorie with endless exercise. Amorie chases, Suki hides.

Amorie's room

We finally finished Amorie's room. It took awhile because I started it with my sister-in-law, but what with the kids and the chaos there wasn't much concentration. I had to take all the tape off and start over. This was kinda what I was going for:

The rest of the room is a light lavender and eventually there will be window coverings. For now, I am putting up cardboard during nap time.

I'll put more pictures on as I finish the rooms.

Work - Mr. Rooter

We delivered a campaign to Mr. Rooter plumbing last month. We had developed a new identity and strategy for them playing on the fact that they are called misters. These here are a part of the print campaign I wrote.

No more moving

Last Friday we closed on our house and have been moving in since then.
This will be our residence for a good long while.
Thank goodness.
Actually, we're pretty dang stoked about the house and hope not to move for a good long while.

We've been painting, unpacking and removing concrete.
There was a sidewalk that had cut through the side of the backyard and ended into a block wall.
As the house was a model, it used to be connected by a sidewalk to the other models.
Then when it went up for sale they put up a wall.
It looked like you could paint a black doorway on the wall where the sidewalk led and the roadrunner (which are common here, by the way) would run right through it followed by the coyote slamming into the wall.
So Jared and Farr rented a jackhammer, tore it up and then loaded all of the chunks of concrete into the moving truck.
The mud flaps behind the rear wheels dragged on the ground all the way to our dumping destination.

Some daddy daughter time.

Lately Amorie has been opening her mouth really wide and kinda chasing us down with it. It was weird, but I realized that she is trying to play with us. Today she opened her mouth and put her face into my stomach and then looked at my face like "Why aren't you laughing." She also grabs our hands whenever they are in her reach so that she can stand up. She feels very grown up.
